I am interested in people and want to hear stories.
I have worked more years as a waiter than as a paid photographer. I plan to reverse these.
I grew up in California, by the salty Pacific.
My interest in anthropology led me to photography.
I went to Sarah Lawrence for undergrad and Ohio University for grad.
I worked two summer internships; one at the Sandusky Register and another at The Oregonian.
After grad school I freelanced (mostly) for the San Francisco Chronicle and USA Today.
My work has also been published in Esquire Russia, Wall Street Journal, Apostrophe Magazine and Ohio Today.
